  •  I'd like to start a dialog about the role (8+ / 0-)

    of healthcare insurance companies.

What is their role?  Is their role to insure you, to take the collected premiums and pay the healthcare providers?

Or is their role to mail out endless paperwork to a subscriber, trying to tell them what to do, how to do it, and meanwhile, the CEO's relative owns a printing company, and therefore makes a HUGE profit on printing these multi-color fliers that are useless.

Who provides the healthcare? Your doctor or the insurance company?

Are doctors such despicable individuals that the healthcare companies have to send out embossed, colorful paperwork to their subscribers that tell you what your doctor should do, what your doctor should ask?  What the hell is up with that?

My doctor is my "partner in my healthcare."  My insurance company is the greedy middleman who wants to make as much profit from me as they can.

I'm still waiting for President Obama to tell the voters why government is a good thing, why we need government oversight and regulations.
