    ...of these "Asian Tigers." Assuming they exist in any organized fashion, is there any indication as to their motives or ideology? That is to say, are they more than just a profit-oriented kidnapping ring?

      ...to have been a splinter group of predominately Punjabi militants allied to Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan chief Hakimullah Mehsud.   An audio tape surfaced last year reportedly of a militant commander allied to Mehsud and a Pakistani journalist named Hamid Mir, who also appeared in Bergen's documentary about OBL.   In the tape, a voice apparenly belonging to Mir claims to the militant commander that Khawaja is actually a spy.  Mir claimed the tape was doctored.
