    He writes about his family and his weird travels, not unlike the methods used by HS Thompson.

    When it gets into his opinions they're more basic than expansive. He's one hell of a ranter--funny, terrifying.

      books that really discuss the people and the situation in which they live (I spend a lot of time reading sci fi, dark fantasy, novels, and newspapers) for pleasure; this stuff here is for pleasure, but it is also partly my poorly chosen career. I am a big fan of Bryson for example ...
