Do you have kids? Doubt if anybody that has kids agrees with that

      •  Your life is all anecdotal too. (0+ / 0-)

As I haven't yet seen ANY reference to back up the absurd original statement, and won't, I can only say that my anecdotes and observations are as good as yours or anyone else's. If by chance you can find ANTHING that looks even close to a reputable reference to back up the aforesaid absurd original statement post it here---other than that I'll just put it down to as anther nasty comment that can't be backed up and your comment as a complete distortion of what I said to make yourself somehow feel superior.
Hope you don't think that asking for proof is insulting but somehow I think you will.

And a former victim of bullying, and I totally agree with this. I recall hearing a father in his 20's telling a story at work about his 15 month old kid who had been kicked out of two different daycare situations because he kept hurting the other kids. He was so proud.

We want our children to be extremely aggressive.  We put them in competitive aggressive sports at an early age, we divide them into winners and losers.  We grade them A-F instead of just measuring what they know and don't know.  We breed for aggression.

do you think this is REALLY true? That we---and I take it that means ALL Americans "breed for aggression?" Thats certainly the snes thats stated in. I know a LOT of parents and I don't know anyone that could be accused of that.
Sure there's some that may do it but theyre the exceptions and we're not the only culture thats done in (Google: Tiger Moms)
If we really "Divided kids into winners and losers" then why do they give trophies to ALL the kids in Little League? Oh darn there's another anecdote

      •  One story and that means everyone does it? (0+ / 0-)

Just to get this right: One anecdote does not---repeat NOT mean America breeds its kids for aggression.
Its an absurd, absolutely unsubstantiated statement.
I think that the original statement, and the comments Ive responded to, prove once again that there's no absurd anti American statement that can be made here that won't be recced.
