What caused you to miss the explanation of the HR that was written over an hour before your erroneous comment that There's already a HR on your tip jar, with no explaining comment.

Are you having computer issues?  Do you know how to expand the threads to read all the comments?

What does their Religion have to do with anything

    HR'd for

It is mystifying how some Jews support politicians and causes that are INIMICAL to our interests

And there's not just one HR in the tip jar -- there's two.  I'm one of them.  I tipped the blockquoted comment, indicating my agreement for the HR.

Hensarling: "Let's repeal it today, replace it tomorrow." Wimpy: "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today"

    •  That wasn't an explanation. (0+ / 0-)

At least not by any definition of "explanation" I'm familiar with. And when I posted that, there was only one HR.

      •  So you're talking about nuance. I see. (0+ / 0-)

        •  it's not a justification for a HR. (0+ / 0-)

No nuance necessary. If you think the diary was anti-Semitic and can articulate a case to support that, go ahead. But that comment doesn't even come close to justifying HR'ing a tip jar.

          •  The HR had nothing to do with (0+ / 0-)

            being anti-Semitic.

You keep asking people to read the diary, but yet you won't even take the time to read comments.  Geesh.

            •  WTF did the hide rate have to do with? (0+ / 0-)

There was no explanation. That comment is not an explanation. It explains nothing.

              •  Oy. You want people to read the diary and (0+ / 0-)

grasp the nuance.  Read the HR comment -- grasp the statement or the nuance.  It's right there before your eyes.

                •  hide rating a tip jar is a serious thing. (0+ / 0-)

No room for nuance. You have to give a justification. You can't answer my question b/c you don't have a real answer.

                    •  From the FAQ: (0+ / 0-)

To Troll Rate something has exactly one meaning. When you Troll Rate something, as a trusted user, you are stating that the comment should be made invisible to all site users. You're saying that the comment is so bad -- so disruptive or damaging to the community -- that it isn't worth even a debate, but should be deleted from the discussion as being simply inflammatory, simply off-topic, or simply a lie.

Remember that, because that is the only use of the troll rating. It is an editorial vote to delete a comment from the conversation.

Conversely, there is one particular reason troll ratings should never be used: to express disagreement with a poster's opinion.

If you hide rate a tip jar, you'd better have a compelling argument to back it up. Disagreeing with the diary isn't enough.
