    ... into the evening dark to watch the first or second round of Sputnik.

    It was unnerving to us both.  During those days of the Cold War , when all the kids were required to wear dog tags to school.  We practiced air raids to the siren's scream ,scrambling below our desks .. not knowing if it was a drill or for real.
    Everyone's heart raced as we listened for the incoming missle.  The seeds of the ' sputnik moment ' were planted in this fearful soil. The victory of American space domination gave the world a sigh of relief.

    Sarah Palin's hubris is the only quality this woman possesses which one might characterize as ... remarkable.

    Humanity is one family ... with one heart.
