    I think that the dems and independants were just turned off by the wishy washy.

    i had to haul my two sons, who walked blocks and banked phones for O, to the polls.

    They wanted no part of it after Rahm's comments.

      didn't bother to vote.  They only show up during presidential elections.

          Yeah, that's great, but it only comes around once every 10 elections, maybe. The rest of the time, it's important to vote for the lesser evil. We do ourselves and the nation a great service every time we prevent people like Dubya from coming to power. Or Boehner.

      after the two years of corporate subservience we got from an administration and Congress elected specifically for change?

      This was easily and repeatedly predicted for months before the fact. Pretending that the election was a surprise is somewhat suspicious.

        Yes, Obama and especially the Senate Dems fell well short of my hopes and expectations. But that doesn't excuse losing sight of how much better they are than the GOP alternative.
