    the stimulus should go - in more specific terms than just "should there be another stimulus?".  I'd bet that people would be in favor of stimulus actions to put people to work, directly, rather than stimulus through the banks.  For example - pump money through the Small Business Administration for loans rather than through banks.  Create a WPA-style jobs program, even if it's physical hard work, like the original CCC did, there are LOTs of projects that could benefit from this, especially fixing or developing new infrastructure.

    If people saw the government hiring workers to do things or hiring companies to do things that get stuff done (like all those shovel-ready projects from the first stimulus), I'll bet people would approve.  They do hate, however, billions shoveled to the banks just so they can sit on the money and hand out big bonuses after crashing the economy.  Nobody ever accused small businesses of crashing the economy.
