  •  I'm inclined to speak up (0+ / 0-)

because I think this is obvious (to me) and needs to be made obvious to other folks:
1a-- Job Creation is only important as a polling item
1b-- Deficit Reduction is only important as a polling item
2-- The people who make decisions about the economy only look at polls as regard their re-election prospects
3-- Many people who make decisions about the economy (I'm eying Bernake) aren't elected
4a-- The people who vote only vote their economics, which is
4b-- I'm employed, I'll check box for "The Party in Power" (and therefore more likely to vote)
4c) I'm unemployed, I'll check a box for "The Other Party" (and therefore less likely to vote)
    ERGO...
5-- Democrats aren't beholden to the folks in 4b (people like me) because they exert very little, to zero, effect on 3.

That's the suck of it.  It could get fun and exciting if Obama sacks Bernake and then circumvents the Congress.  Until then, it's all sound and fury.

    •  Uh I think Bernake is on our side. (0+ / 0-)

Geitner, who has the money and imprimatur  to loan directly to Small Business if he wanted to, is not.
