  •  Hey, are there no term limits in Texas? (0+ / 0-)

Is Goodhair serving two five-year terms or five two-year terms, or what?  In ole purplish Virginny, a gov gets to serve one four-year term, no matter how good or bad he may be.  What's with this 10-year thing?

    •  yeah, but we here in Virginia (0+ / 0-)

shouldn't do too much Texas-bashing, since we aren't that far behind them on the awful-political system scale.

statewide politics in Virginia give me almost as many willies as the ones in Texas, particularly on budget and transportation issues.

Just as in Texas, "public" is a dirty word in Virginia (outside of NoVa, where I am).

    •  No term limits on the Governor's office. (0+ / 0-)

And no hope for instituting them now!
