        he's pro-choice. And he gains no tangible benefit from signing it. The GOP will never like him, and the Democrats will go apeshit. And unlike the tax cut deal, there is nothing he could say to placate the base.

        So if he signed it, he would be going against his beliefs, it would be pleasing nobody, and it would be pissing off everyone.

        Obama has enough political sense to know what's good for him. And this is not.

          But he gets to choose his battles. I just don't think he will choose to battle this.  But I've been wrong before and will be again.

              He was against tax cuts for the wealthy, too.

              You can't fault people for being concerned what his final choice will be on any issue. Circumstances dictate everything. That and politics.

              None of us know what he'll do until he does it. In the meantime, I will stilll continue to speak out and reach out in advocacy of certain issues.
