  •  You'd think Virginia had 10k people... (5+ / 0-)

...instead of the several million it really has, given the limited and lousy choices you've give us.  Well, there's one good choice, Perriello, and the others are just appalling.  Usually I have no patience for losers and even less patience for failing upward, but Perriello was a winner: he won his seat in a fluke (Obama wave, opponent sunk by sudden scandal) and lost it by a smaller margin than dozens of Democrats in ostensibly better situations.  And he lost the right way, running on his record and not running away from the President.  Virginia as a whole is more favorable to Obama and to Perriello than his own district so he'd be a sound choice in pragmatic terms, and not just the obvious ethical case that lousy people shouldn't be senators.

he would work his butt off and make Allen look bad, everyday!

Tom Perriello is someone who people will work hard for canvassing, etc.-NOT Kaine.

      •  Periello is the only one on this list who could (0+ / 0-)

        beat Allen.

        •  Why is that so? (0+ / 0-)

He didn't even win reelection in his district. How is it that he's the only one who could beat Allen? I get that you like him best, but I can't imagine a single intelligent argument that would support that position. Care to try?

    •  Well.... (0+ / 0-)

It is Virginia. The roster of Democrats with any statewide profile is pretty limited. There are a pair in Congress but Connelly's struggling to control his seat. Jim Moran might be able to run, but he'd defer to his brother, I'm sure.
