I am not, and never have been, self-loathing. Indeed, I have great hair, can dance well, keep fit for the skinny jeans, and am able to promptly put a room together or set a "fancy-big-girl" table for a great dinner (while whipping up the food in between matching the China patterns with the linen napkins). What's to be self-loathing about. :-)

      •  You're not a Republican, then. n/t (0+ / 0-)

I have met a few Log Cabin types (now I guess there is GOProud -- ugh, whatevah), and (1) generally speaking, they are usually old farts who have previously been married, only to discover their arrested adolescence in their 50s (not pretty); and (2) always, always, always when they see the befuddled look on my face at the oxymoron of GAY-REPUBLICAN (I am not known for my poker face) immediately respond that they are FISCALLY conservative.  When I remind them that Reagan, Bush I and Bush II all grew government during their tenures and outspent each other like drunken sailors, and the last fiscally conservative presidents were Carter and Clinton, they just avoid me, which is good for me.
