said that after Mubarak's defiant speech last night which deflated but obviously did not deter the protesters, that the Egyptian Army Supreme Council basically shut him down. They were calling the shots and basically it sounds as if Mubarak lost their support resulting in the resignation today. AJE said protesters after Mubarak's speec last night were more determined and they moved toward the presidential palace and were boosted by the support of labor strikes and positive comments by outspoken individuals all week.

El Baradei (from an AJE interview with him) said that people will want accountability of these people, but that is not their priority right now. EB is hoping to ensure that the Army and civilian leaders form a council and that the people all unify and come together to commit to a socially just democratic country and orderly progression toward free and fair parliamentary elections in a year. His message to the people was you have gained your liberty and right to catch up with the rest of the world, lets make the best of it.

    AJE Rocks...

It will not matter how much money was in my bank account, but the world may be a better place because I was important in the life of a child.
