I know how you feel.  My dad died around a year and a half ago under similar cirucmstances, 'cept he was 94.  And he had an amazing life, too - he was a Hungarian diplomat in Berlin during WWII.  He wasn't a Nazi sympathizer at all but did have friends in the Luftwaffe, and had to get up in the middle of the night to shovel British incindieries off his roof.  He once drove his car in the woods to hide from a fighter plane that was strafing the highway, and pulled a gun on an SS officer who tried to steal the same car from him.  He ended up a POW and then went to work as a translator for an American colonel.

So, death's always sad, but it's good to have had a life worth celebrating. :)  And your dad's got that.  That makes it easier.
