As a state blogger, I can't tell you how much I love this idea. I will definitely contribute to and draw from this resource.

Here's a question for the fine print. If I've posted a photo on Flickr with one of the Creative Commons licenses does that create a conflict with the licensing here?

It would be nice if I could just mark my photo here as CC... I prefer the least restrictive one, but I'm not that picky... it would be grand if there was some way to have a photo co-exist in both places with a compatible license.

we'll have to think about that. In your case I don't see a problem with posting your photo elsewhere under a more lenientCC attribution, as the copyright will always be in your name, no matter what. It's just that whatever you post in the dk Photo Coop will have your name and dk Photo Coop imprinted, which only applies to people using photos posted in the daily kos archive. In other words, nobody can and should tell you where and how to post your own photos, it's just whatever you upload into the dk coop that will have a stricter user permission. If that means someone can get that same photo from your flickr gallery with no credit, that's fine.

It'd be good to have an "advanced" link or similar on the licence agreement section to allow selection from the full range of CC licence options, with a baseline of the DKPC requirements. Is there somewhere to file requests for enhancement or is just posting comments sufficient?
