  •  Avoid "non-commercial" and simply (3+ / 0-)

    craft a licence (agreed to during the submission process) that gives a non-exclusive license for use by all members of the Daily Kos Photo Cooperative.  You can then further define those rights by the agreement required for membership in the cooperative (i.e., you'll be able to distinguish between dKos members who simply use the photos for posts here and, say, partner sites who want to use the same photos for their own purposes.

    The commercial/non-commercial issue is simply too complicated for these purposes, and will likely raise more issues than it solves.


    That said - is the cooperative looking towards Creative Commons language for its terms?
