    "diplomatic" about Egypt; why not Iran?

    Good heavens, Ms. Clinton, show some sense. All they need is just a little time.

      Anytime we make it seem like we're siding with the protest movement, we make it seem like they're agents for the U.S.  We need to let them do their thing and raise support internally without having to explain away some alleged U.S. involvement.  The protestors know we want them to succeed.  They don't need the Iranian authorities discrediting them by linking them to U.S. "imperialism".

      If we want to help people, let's start with countries where we can influence the leadership, like Saudia Arabia and Jordan.  As for Iran, let's lean on countries that are friendly towards to Iran (Brazil, Turkey) to get them to put pressure on the regime.
