    and I'm afraid you are right. I hoped that maybe things might be different.

    Last June with the nuclear deal brokered by Turkey and Brazil--I thought it would be different, but we're not changing our tune at all.

      While I totally agree with the don't stir the pot sentiments, the particular moment demanded a little more. If Obama didn't respond to the hard line thrust by Iranian rightwingers, it would become a meme to run in the media. So Obama gets to say it and co-opts that juice.  But his statements, as quoted in the Washington Post (the f*cking Washington Post), are entirely in keeping with his consistent wishing the highest aspirations for people. It's both powerfully sincere yet free of tangible data points so for many folks it fails to generate the kind of blowback one might expect.

      So I guess I'm saying I feel this was a short term tactical ripple in the continuum and shouldn't be over cogitated.
