    my point is about where out of state activists put their energy and resources, not about the choices of in-staters, including who to support in a primary.

    From what has been said here, it sounds like if he runs, he'll win the nomination, and find plenty of elite level Democratic Party support (in part because of his good chances of winning, in part because he's more conservative).  I'd rather see activists focus on races where good progressives have a shot but will not get that sort of support.  

    Politics is the art of the possible, but that means you have to think about changing what is possible, not that you have to accept it in perpetuity.
