  •  his health is no more fragile than yours (0+ / 0-)

no measurable viral load.  for years.  hemophilia cured.  he is very vibrant and ready to kick butt and take names.

    •  Wrong (0+ / 0-)

Hemophilia is incurable.  It may be under control thanks to injections of clotting factor and/or transfusions of healthy platelets, but hemophilia is a lifelong condition.  And regardless of his viral load, Massie had to have a liver transplant a few years back thanks to Hep C, AND he stepped down from his non-profit as recently as 2002.

So no, his health is a lot worse than mine, and he has at least three medical conditions that could kick in under the stress of what will likely be a grueling campaign for Senate.   It's also very likely that his primary opponents (and Brown, if he wins the nomination) will bring up his health during the campaign.

I wish Massie were healthy.  I really wish he were.  But he's not, and the last thing Massachusetts needs is another Senator dying in office and leaving us open to Scott Brown or a genuine Tea Party loon in another special election in a few years.

      •  you are wrong about the hemophilia (0+ / 0-)

the liver transplant cured the hemophilia.  you can look it up.

so what "three medical conditions" are you talking about?

all i ask is that you keep an open mind.

the state of his health will be obvious once the campaign gets underway.

because Scott Brown had the gall to name his political bio book Against All Odds: My Life of Hardship, Fast Breaks, and Second Chances, in an attempt to distract attention from his be more likeable.

Massie is the one potential candidate whose real life hardship story is more compelling than Brown's--Massie really HAS had a life of Hardship, Fast Breaks, and Second Chances!
