    •  Lisa, you need to stay 100% clean legally.... (8+ / 0-)

.... and same for the rest of the people in that group, because you've identified yourself publicly with a seditious organization.

Anyone who wants to stand up publicly on this stuff has to be so squeaky clean that they don't even leave their car parked overtime at a meter (lest it get towed and the opportunity taken to install bugging devices (other than the ones people carry around voluntarily because they look cool and have cool apps)).

      •  Indeed! (0+ / 0-)

Even when the org isn't "seditious", those measures are always taken by direct action organizers and leaders. From the organization's donations to the personal conduct of it's members, everything must be infallible. Of course, direct action organizers will tell you they don't even have time to get into trouble because their schedule is so packed.

Julian Assange. I rest my case.

I tweeted something about Assange when the rape charges surfaced and it was immediately RT'd by a feed I follow called WikileaksBot. "Assange nearly compromised Wikileaks because he couldn't behave himself. Criminal. Stupid Ham."

I don't know if it was just a coincidence but it needed to be said or Rt'd anyway. Everyone else was debating his innocence or guilt. I was wondering how an idiot like that was ever trusted by people with such a righteous mission.

        •  yeah, he needs to watch that. (0+ / 0-)

The most dangerous mistake any guy in politics can make is to forget that his weewee has an OFF switch.

At least with lefties and Democrats it's almost always consenting adults.  Assange got too close to the line of "not consenting" for everyone's own good.  But Eliot Spitzer, the scourge of Wall Street, was brought down because he paid for it.  And the nasty Republicans almost took down a US President.

But when Republicans do it, it's public bathrooms or teenagers.  That's inexcusable.  Except that they're Republicans.

Someone needs to give Assange a combination lock he can attach to his zipper.  If nothing else it'll make him think first.  At least he should wear one to his next interview.  When the reporter asks what the hell that's for, he can say "I've learned my lesson."   That would be good for some laughs anyway.

on that link Anonymous DKos. It's gone now, but will likely be back. I can't believe DKos would accept an ad from them.
