If 538 more Florida Democrats had made it to the polls in 2000, Al Gore would have become the President, we would have stayed out of Iraq, and the budget would be much closer to being balanced. (I can't project how long the current recession would have lasted.)

I moved from Panama City to Orlando and missed the registration by one day.  I tried to vote by absentee in my old address, but they told me I never registered...which was complete BS.  I did it when I updated my license.

Bastards... but I thought, OH well.. it probably wouldn't make much difference...

I'm sure that if we could tally all the people who were denied the right to vote in 2000 because of hassles like ignoring Motor Voter registrations, or the false accusation that some 20,000 Floridians were convicted felons (with a 90% error rate, they'd have done better to have thrown darts at a wal, and I'm sure it happened on other statesl.) or whose polling places didn't have contingency ballots (or whatever they're called) or who the police interfered with as they were headed to the polling place; Al Gore would have increased his margin to over a million.
