compared to some other states it can seem like it. Gov. Quinn (D) just barely won. We dodged one there. This time.

which is exactly what all these other state numnuts and our president should do.  God, it makes you want to strangle someone!

      •  Raising Taxes on MClass is "Courageous"? (0+ / 0-)

According to President Obama, the working and middle-class have seen one decade of wage stagnation.  And you want to argue that raising taxes on the median household is "courageous".

You're in effect saying that the working and middle-class should see an even sharper after-tax wage decrease.

Why didn't Quinn spearhead an effort to tax Citadel's Ken Griffin wealth?  Why not spearhead an effort for a graduated income tax that would exempt the working and middle-class of IL?

The model for Dem governors are Brown and Cuomo.

For Dem pols to follow Quinn's lead is to hand over power to the GOP in 2012.

In 2008, President Obama won IL by 24% points.

In 2010, Quinn won by 0.5% points.

      •  That tax hike took guts (0+ / 0-)

I was not a fan of Quinn before (and voted against him in the primary), but he won my respect with that. And I'm betting I'm not the only one.
