  •  Public unions practice politics of division (0+ / 0-)

The public employee unions put their interests first, and pit themselves against the people who pay the bills, the private sector worker.

There IS NO capitalist power on the other side of this fight, like in a real union.  There are only taxpaying private citizens, rich and not so rich, that are left to pay the bills.

Public employee unions didn't get off the ground till the mid 70's.  They had nothing to do with winning workers rights for anyone.  Vacations, 8-hr days and all the rest were won by private sector unions, who now represent only about 7% of the workforce.

What are the public unions doing to help the private sector worker?  Closing down the schools?  Police and Fire sickouts?    Who gets hurt?  Working people do.

If you guys want the support of other working people, figure out how to take this fight to the rich folks living in gated communities, and stop shutting down public services that these rich people don't even use.

So public employees don't pay bills?  Wha?  Do you know that Wisconsin teachers' pay is now ranked in the bottom half of the country?  You want public employees unions to fight for YOUR rights as a private worker?  Why not join your own union?

Yes, times are tough.  Did you know that this governor wrote and had passed a "special" tax bill that gave over 130 million dollars in breaks and incentives to his rich business buddies, and now he claims a deficit in the budget of over 130 million?

Did you know that fully two-thirds of all businesses in Wisconsin paid NO TAXES AT ALL LAST YEAR?

You have a computer, do a little research before you attack "greedy public employees."  Sheesh.

You could start by trying to refute what I actually said rather than making up a straw man and attacking that.

        Point by point
I did not claim that pubilc employees don't pay bills.
I did not claim that the governor does not favor the rich.
I did not claim anytning about businesses in wisconsin.
I did NOT say anything about "Greedy public employees" as you "quote" implies.

As far as the points I did make, you did not reply to a single one.   Typical for this debate.

          •  Thanks for the tip (0+ / 0-)

You might want to tell that to my professors who gave me A's in Logic, Automata Theory, Statistics and Discrete Mathematics...

It also raises the question of how I have been a successful software engineer and architect for 25 years....

            Good point tho' "daze".
