    I am originally from PA (near Philly).  I was on strike there back in 1972 when a district was trying to take away our right to collective bargaining.  It was so stupid.  It was a union area.......near and oil refinery and steel mills.  We closed the schools immediately because no parent back then would allow their kid to cross a picket line.
    And parents encircled the board room and told the board they were not allowed to leave until the settled with the teachers.  The good old days...
