  •  Partly serious response, partly snarky one... (7+ / 0-)

I had the chance to hear a speaker from Planned Parenthood talk about citizen lobbying of our reps.   I actually brought up Franklin's 1st crazy bill (the rape accusers vs. victims), and asked if it had any chance of passing.  On that one, she said that it wouldn't pass the judicial tests, so it probably wouldn't even be voted on.  I can only hope this is in the same category.

Another person asked if these bills are partly due to their beliefs but also partly to just waste time and effort of groups like Planned Parenthood...in other words, to just have them chasing around these bills that will in all likelihood not pass and diluting efforts to protect women's rights.  She said it is probably a little of that, but that most of the time, the person really believes in the bill.   Scary.

Now for the snarky part.   As I've been reading more and more about these attacks on women's reproductive rights, I've been thinking we need to call miscarriages

    God Abortions
Maybe I read that somewhere, I can't remember, so if you've said it before, please take the credit.

So, if you miscarry, just list the cause as God.  Maybe then good ol' Bobby will see that he shouldn't really be investigating God.
