It's not hyperventilating.  It's just a sad, sad, state of affairs that we should be somehow "grateful" that JP Morgan runs their plastic food stamp program "really well."

    •  Who said anything about being grateful? (1+ / 0-)

I'm saying the food stamps debit card system works well. I'm proof of that.

Would you rather the system didn't run well?

It's not just a zip code, it's an attitude.

from the food stamps debit system.  Wish they would have not been bailed out.  Wish their executives had not received record bonuses this year. Wish that there weren't always some people who made money from other people's misfortune.

that banking executives wouldn't receive outrageous bonuses, that no one would make money off the misfortunes of others, and that schools and teachers would get what they need to care properly for our most valuable resources. But if wishes were Porches, then beggars would drive. :)

          Again:

Is there any indication in any of this information that JPM is overcharging or otherwise making illegal or outrageous profits from handling these accounts?

Is there some other person/group/company who will do it for no profit, that the government isn't taking advantage of?

Do you think the US should start running its own debit card accounts for food stamps and other benefits?

I'd really like to know how you think food stamps should be done.

It's not just a zip code, it's an attitude.
