I live in Humboldt County, home of Humboldt Fog, one of the world's premier goat cheeses.  I especially like their Midnight Moon hard cheese.  Grated on pesto it is sublime.

When back in Wisconsin, I buy locally made cheese at the Newton Meats in Newton, Wisconsin (between Manitowoc and Sheboygan).  Newton Meats makes all their own sausage from locally grown hogs and cattle that they slaughter and butcher themselves.  An unbelievable selection of bratwurst, if that's what you like. (But not as good as Pipert Brats that used to be made in Hika Bay).

There is nothing like the seven foot tall Black Eyed Susans of a Wisconsin August.  Lake Michigan is sacred.  Protect it.

This aggression will not stand, man.

was a breakthrough -- probably the first cheese made in the US to equal anything Europe produces. It was an existence proof: "See, Americans don't have to make and eat only commercial crap."

I want the Republican Party to become so small that I can drown it in a bathtub.

But I'll have to settle for some of upstate NY's very good Lively Run goat cheese instead, I guess...we do some very good cheese in this part of the world, too, dontchaknow.

        So this is DK4, eh?

I live in Eureka.  Love the midnight moon.
You bid blackeyed susans and lake michigan, I see you those and raise you a late summer corn feed, a silent frozen winter day exploring a frozen beaver pond and loon song on a misty morning canoe paddle.

The Republican motto: "There's been a lot of progress in this country over the last 75 years, and we've been against all of it." ~ Hillbilly Dem's 78-yo Dad
