Montana, it's not a joke.  And they don't need "world is flat" ideas to do a lot of damage, both immediate and long-term.

I know it was a joke, inclusiveheart.  I hope you will forgive me for not being in a joking mood - as a Montana resident.

I don't think that one should have to be an resident of that state to think that this stuff is dangerous.  The prevailing winds over the US roll West to East - your pollution is mine, too.

When I was flying to Hong Kong, the flight attendant was very irritated with me because I would not close my window shade.  I sat looking out of the window for hours.  As we started to come down the eastern side of China I saw this cloud cover that was like no other I'd ever seen.  It went on for hours/miles.  The clouds were a had a yellowish tint and an oily texture to them.  When we arrived in Hong Kong, it was foggy.  And it kept being foggy for days.  Unlike my old hometown of SF, this fog didn't burn off in the morning.  It was a few days into being there when I found out that the fog was pollution and that that cloud cover that I had observed was industrial air pollution - much from coal fired plants.  That stuff blows to the east too.

Anyway, at a certain point, I have nothing more to offer than sarcasm.  Apologies.
