    Even in two-parent working-class homes, both parents working has been necessary since the 70s.  Where the hell do these people live that they don't know that?

    If they actually supported women to stay home with their children, they'd support higher working class wages.  Ha!

      and they're, for the most part, OLD. When their kids were growing up, it was the 60s.

      Their wives didn't have to work. They had good (possibly union or professional) jobs.

      And remember - in the 60s, it didn't take much more than minimum wage to support a family. You couldn't do much more than put a roof over their heads, clothes on their backs, and food in their stomachs, but you could do that.

      On ONE slightly more than minimum wage income.
