    •  Have fun with the plumber (4+ / 0-)

Never an easy task in the bathroom.

I am hopeful that these protests can spread around the country and galvanize the working poor and the middle class.  We really need to get active and have our voices heard.  We need a place at the table to talk about real solutions that will be helpful for this country in the short-term as well as the long-term.

Budget cuts won't do it and the leaders need to get over themselves and do the right thing no matter how hard it actually is to do.  That can only be done with us in the discussions.

works by himself, comes recommended by neighbors, and is not charging extra because of the holiday -  problem is always having someone home

we have bottom of closet cleared for access behind the bath/shower -  if he needs to remove paneling we will have to clear out other shelves.  We had diverter replaced 17 years ago (my how time flies) and only had to empty the bottom to provide access.  We'll see

we need more revenue, and we should recognize that our tax cuts have, since Reagan, been shifting wealth created by ordinary working folks into the pockets of the already wealthy

I have gotten into email and twitter discussions on revenue increases.  People seem to think that is an automatic no-no.  The ultimate sin is to say tax increase when really it is the only actual solution.

The problem is the difficulty in selling them.

Corporate taxes need to be paid, closing loopholes, taxing cap gains as earned income, and other similar ideas.
