Many of us noted that our nutty governor did not mention bringing out the National Guard although he did nicely mention he "didn't need your people" while looking at a black female reprepresentative and did call a police officer an "idiot".
Kent State is not forgotten here and although he is inflammatory he managed not to 'go there'...so far.  I put nothing past him, however.  Both Ka$ich and Walker need to be taken down a few pegs and I am just slightly hopeful the legislators, who actually have to go out in their districts, will not flame out, politically, with these two.

Thanks Ken, have a good day today.

I see a big difference between say Bahrain and Libya. With tens of thousands protesting, and a death toll so far of 6 or 7 (officially, and as far as we can learn from the media), there is obviously not a policy of shoot to kill, unlike probably Libya or Iran last year.

Putting it in context, the homicide rate in Bahrain last week approached that of Camden NJ.

    •  One thing HAS come of the struggle in Ohio that (0+ / 0-)

I thought I would never see: A cousin who still lives there, who has always been staunch backer of all things Republican, and an enemy of unions, invited me to join a Facebook protest of Kasich's attack on public employee unions there.

I'll not get into the insanity that she suffered the worst of what employers do in the absence of unions when her father was dismissed, without insurance or pay, after a stroke in his forties. You'd think she would know better.

Well, apparently she's catching on; perhaps more will.

I'd call that a miracle, indeed.
