  •  Difference between Vietnam protests and Iraq (2+ / 0-)

I was born in the early 60's so I was too young to really remember much of the protests. However, I did take some seminars on the Vietnam War in college and my sense was, back then, that clergy — especially Catholic priests — were front and center in the Vietnam War protests.

OTOH, the Catholic bishops today seem more concerned about stem cell research and abortion than they do about war. So much for the sanctity of life.

    •  You're very right, and one of my (many) complaints (0+ / 0-)

about Christians in America right now is that they seem more concerned with the unborn than with starving and murdered children.
