    but I would be very grateful for your diary on this subject. You always do such a thorough job of research.

    TIMT,I understand your POV. Mine is that the more facts we are armed with,the better we can go forward. That may mean advocating harder for LIHEAP funding to be restored or it may not. This is about the policy and the very real people LIHEAP impacts.

      funding. I am just saying I can understand the rationale and the fact the POTUS also has a log of good programs for low income families in the budget. Thank you for being fair minded.  

      ...We have many more issues that bind us together than separate us!

      •  One of the unintended consequences (3+ / 0-)

        regarding the changes to LIHEAP is that some folks are plain scared. Heck,much of the country is fearful right now. Looking at some of these RW demagogues,they should be. I have older tenants who do not even pay their utilities (included in the rent) who have extrapolated cuts in the program to mean there won't be enough heat next year. Foolish but no less scary for them. My feeling is that we need to pushback on this as we can but I'd like to push with as many specifics as possible.
        Always nice to chat with you...see some of us progressives really aren't utterly evil ;-)
