who take actions against the interest of the people be the ones separating themselves from the Umma?

Or is it just individuals who are meant to obey?

I'm kind of stalling for time here...They told me what to say. George W Bush, 03-21-2006 10:00 EST Press Conference

Anything that separates Muslims from each other or that pits them against each other is wrong, in this view. You're not supposed to be fooling with politics, you're supposed to focus on God.

So the Muslim Brotherhood, which forms parties and has a certain esprit de corps, is not anti-Muslim or anything, it's just not conservative. It's funny that they get painted as the #1 Islamist bugbear because they actually are kind of left-wingy in Muslim terms.

Conservative Islam - fundamentalist Islam - isn't necessarily jihadist. Conservative sometimes means you are very observant, like Catholics who say the rosary. They actually go deeply into how to wear your clothes, what kind of food to eat and all that.
