  •  brace yourself for more bad news (0+ / 0-)

the whole ridiculously-named "affordable" health care
act will crumble in slow motion over the next two to three years.  Not too fast, just slow enough to allow another conservative landslide in aught-12.  Sane people want to watch the misery unfold slowly, as this whole Madoffian Ponzi scheme of interconnected social programs is scaled back to an sustainable level.  Of course decent people want a social safety net, but that net is pulling the entire ship under...

also, your Pascal quote is peculiar, bespeaking an irrational hostility toward religion (defending religion is also an attempt to support your worldview; there exists no more irrational and faith-based conception of the world as modern liberalism, impervious as it is to fact-based criticism).

Like....global warming, er, global climate change (forgot that the Romans grew grapes in England???)

tell me also your feelings on the Federal Reserve and the Monster from Jekyll Island.

      •  I am intrigued by ardent criticism of the Fed (0+ / 0-)

but haven't taken enough time to understand the whole monetary system.  Have you?  I do not believe it's some left-wing conspiracy or plot!

        •  Certainly not! (0+ / 0-)

Lefties have proven time+time ad infinitum they do not have the intellectual capacity(capacitor a la electricity:nothing upstairs!) or rigor(de rigeur?) to handle money, thus the constant sucking/bleating at govt' teat, leeching off the profits of the selfless business class.

Witness John Nash re. Nash Equilibrium, mathematical proof of the concepts of libertarianism/Milton Friedman.  Clinton gave up his misguided ways when presented with proof from RAND corp, hirers of John Nash.  Immediate course change/restructure of welfare leech class, etc. etc.  But Clinton unable to devise proper course on his own, only when pushed by fed chair greenspan.
