  •  I want to believe it, but... (0+ / 0-)

Murphy tries to get Walker to take the bait on "planting some troublemakers" and Walker doesn't bite.  He immediately dismisses it as problematic.  This will have no traction in the mainstream media.

    •  He dismissed it for the WRONG REASONS (2+ / 0-)

It was POLITICALLY bad, not "American values" bad.

      •  I agree. (0+ / 0-)

But that's not enough to sink him. That's a nuance that you and I appreciate.

        •  No it's not. It's a foundation (0+ / 0-)

of why we are "better" than other countries.  We don't do that shit.  Kent State is still recent history and it horrified even the most die-hard conservatives at the time.

          •  I'm debating the "legs" of this story (0+ / 0-)

not the merits of Walker's ethics. Play the tape on the MSM and people will not hear what you want them to hear. They will hear Walker backing off from "Koch's" suggestion.

            •  Not when I get done talking with them (1+ / 0-)

about it.  this kind of news story is the best way to begin, little by little, changing people's attitudes.  There is all kinds of indignation to be had with his comments.....around the water cooler at work, in line to pick up the kids at school, at the Jiffy Lube or grocery store.  All it takes is a "Did you see that story on the Wisconsin governor?  Holy crap!  Now we know what everyone suspected all along....our government is bought and paid for.  Giving the banks money is one thing, but outright colluding with the multi-national companies that have shipped all the jobs overseas?  Wow - we gotta do something!"

This works.  It is subtle and it is between friends and neighbors and it is the beginning of changing the attitude in America back to "one for all" from the "all for one" shit that Reagan spread around.

Try it.  It's actually kind of fun!

            •  It also depends (0+ / 0-)

on what parts of the 20 minute phone call the MSM highlight . . . once again they can set the story, especially for those who don't get on the INterWebs (most people 70 and over, i.e. Fox Viewers).  Even MSNBC is dropping the ball right now.  Or mabye they are saving the smackdown for Tweety, Cenk, and Maddow . . . we can only hope.

... but he still dismissed it. The caller should've followed up with more discussion.
