In terms of anarcho-syndicalism and the dems.  I agree about the impossibility of there being such a party, but I think that there could be a party that encourages the creation of worker owned, worker run coops.  Make loans easily available and give advice, legal and financial, on running the coops.   Of course, that would be doable at a state or local level and needn't necessarily be federal.

I refuse to represent my political beliefs using numbers. It isn't accurate, nor is it helpful. But I'm around a -10 on both scales.

    •  If you were to do some research... (0+ / 0-)

on the writings of Ho, you would perhaps be surprised to find what a great democrat he was, especially early on.

His impassioned polemics against the injustices of French colonialism were inspiring, even as Mao's little red book was, especially in their time, and especially in contrast to what passed as "civilized" social and economic "policy", at that time, of the old regimes, the counter-revolution, and international imperialism, all of whom so ruthlessly attacked them for holding such egalitarian, popular democratic views.

Does this imply that I approve of, support, or want to emulate every aspect of their theory or practice, especially as it developed, in the periods of draconian martial law (in defensive response to ruthless, relentless external attack)?

I think my Diaries and Comments warrant no such conclusion...I believe in popular democracy, for real, and consider elitism, of any stripe, the bane of humanity.

What happened in Viet Nam, or China, or Russia, Cuba, etc, and why, is a deep subject...

Suffice it to say that the conditions they faced, being invaded, encircled, embargoed, boycotted, subjected to relentless attempts to infiltrate with Faux "News" style propaganda and bribery for sedition, even as they reeled from the destruction of world war and civil war, were not exactly ideal conditions for optimal social, economic or political development.

It didn't have to be that way, but the US made sure it was so, in their attempts to destroy those revolutions, or failing that, to cripple them as much as possible.

To point to the inevitable results of that external onslaught as any kind of "proof" that "Communism" could never "work" is really the height of duplicitous hypocrisy.

And to point to my sigline, rather than the material substance of my comments, is also nothing but diversionary bullshit, lol.

That said, one of the best aspects of IWW program is their call for direct workers' democracy, based on local worksite, industry, and area of residence, to coordinate the production and distribution of goods and services democratically, and federated, more or less, as necessary, to include broader regional, "national" and international levels of direct, easily recallable, genuinely representative popular democratic delegates.

I think the most viable feasibility for achieving such developments is by purging and suppressing the right from the Democratic Party, along with the Republicans... democratically, electorally, legislatively and judicially.

Fairly obvious electoral, campaign finance and media reforms will be required to optimize the potentials...and that will require a super-majority of more or less progressive and moderate Democrats...which will certainly not be facilitated by electoral boycott or splitting, and allowing further right wing regimes to prevail by default.

      •  You advocate for putting people who disagree (0+ / 0-)

with you in camp and claim to be an anarcho-communist.  You clearly have Glen Beck's reading of The Comming Insurrection.
