Folks, words CANNOT describe the atmosphere in Madison today.  So many people.  So much wonderful diversity.  The crowd was mostly cheeseheads (sorry Scotty), but I met union folks from as far away as San Fran.  Construction workers, hippies, teachers, and other professionals all there for the same reason.  Talk about Solidarity!!!  Unbelievable.  Truly unbelievable.

As the diarist pointed out, he left before the main rally.  The crowds became MUCH bigger once the rally started.  All I can say is it was stunning.  Absolutely stunning.

The atmosphere inside the capitol was almost surreal.  The Wisconsin capitol building is stunningly gorgeous, but it has never looked better decked out in all its people power signs, and the noise inside was DEAFENING.  If there is any way you can make it to Madison for one of these events, you would be absolutely nuts to pass it up.

This is a once in a lifetime thing going on in Madison.  People are being drawn there like moths to a flame.  Truly grassroots.  Truly unifying.

I've never been prouder of my state.  I've never been prouder of union workers across the country.  After today, you couldn't PAY ME ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY to ever cross a picket line again.  ANYWHERE.
