I was listening to the live feed and heard the announcement.  Obviously, I was very excited and wanted to get a diary up quickly.  It seems there is an awful lot of smoke, but no confirmed fire.  In the end I will go with the preponderance of the evidence that Mr. Schultz will eventually officially confirm his opposition to the bill in its current form.  If not, well, I got ahead of myself.
Thanks for all who rec'd the diary.  I've enjoyed reading all the comments.

    •  You even got the smoke wrong. (0+ / 0-)

The rumors are that Schultz won't support the bill. That's far different from a NO vote. 3 GOP abstentions would still pass the bill, 16-14.

It's wrong to mislead, and sad that people got their hopes up on unconfirmed rumors.

      •  That's going a bit too far. (1+ / 0-)

Abstention is actually pretty unlikely. He'd get tagged with backlash from the hard right while getting absolutely no boost from the left. There's nothing in it for him. It would be one of the least logical courses of action for him to take.
