    but in my DADT activism, I clearly met many military folks.

    And I grew a great respect for the folks who serve. Which is not to say I didn't respect them before... but my peacenik ideas of the sort of people who "participate in the MIC!" were challenged.

    Good people.

    And they deserve our support.

    Even has I have concerns about the endeavors they are tasked with! ;-)

      years who have been pleasantly surprised to speak with a military wife that often agrees with their views.

      Honestly, we love having that affect on people and it works in both directions. My husband and I are both graduates from UC Berkeley and military folks have a hard time believing that... well, at least they have a hard time believing my husband is a Berkeley grad. With me, they just sort of shrug their shoulders ;)
