COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio legislative committee has approved a bill that would restrict collective bargaining for the state's 350,000 teachers, firefighters, police officers and other workers.  The approval, by a vote of 7-5, came after Republican leaders removed a lawmaker from Green Township, who planned to vote against the bill.

Republican leaders took Senator Bill Seitz off the Insurance and Labor Committee this morning.  Seitz is a Republican who said he planned to vote against Senate Bill Five.  His vote would have prevented the bill from getting to the full Senate.
