We do much the same, do you belong to the Home School co-op? A lot of what they offer is Christian based, but there is also many that are not, and the savings are huge. Last year we got a year of Colonial Williamsburg virtual field trips and curriculum for $50, normally it's $500. This year we  bought Dave Ramsey's Personal Finance course for our 15 year old (the High School version) for $60, and weekly readers for our 7 year old for $25. You have to research the curriculum and watch what you're buying to avoid the religious right stuff, but the deals are worth it since membership is free.
