is the provision of the budget bill that removes the current insurance regulation requiring coverage for contraception.  The explanation for why this is in a budget bill is SO lame.

The budget also would repeal a law that went into effect last year requiring commercial health plans to cover prescription birth control. The law affects about a third of the state population, as the other two-thirds are uninsured or covered by self-insured plans or government insurance.

"This requirement is an unacceptable government mandate on employers with moral objections to these services, and increases the cost of health insurance for all payers," Walker's budget said.

Also under the budget, men would lose birth control and health screening services through Medicaid, the state-federal health plan for the poor. Men were added last year. Coverage for women on Medicaid is mandated by the federal government.

I suppose that Walker thinks unwanted pregnancies won't "increase the costs of health insurance for all payers."
