has served to show the American electorate just what the Tea Party and the GOP of 2011 are all about. I think this is an important lesson. While many in WI may suffer because of the actions of the governor and the GOP majority legislature, there is some good that is coming out of this. If people in a purple state like Wisconsin are going to elect mostly conservatives and Tea Baggers, the people of Wisconsin will see what those folks have in store for them. Only when they see the destructive nature of today's GOP will they come to their senses and throw these guys out of office. It's one thing for a state in the Deep South to elect people like this, it's another for a state like Wisconsin. But there will probably have to be some real pain felt in order to make people realize how big a mistake they made.

I'm in the I-fucking-love-this-guy wing of the Democratic Party!

Walker is dismantling agriculture and rural programs that will destroy rural communities - and if he's lost the farmers, he's lost the GOP.

A Tractorcade is planned for next Saturday (May 12) in Madison to fight for Labor rights and a just State budget.
Rural communities will be disproportionately hurt by the cuts to education and badgercare, and farmers in Wisconsin stand with state workers, and all working and middle class families in the state. The event is sponsored by Family Farm Defenders, Wisconsin Farmers Union and Land Stewardship project.

If the GOP did ONE thing to help the average worker, Unions would donate to THEM.

We all pay taxes to the state. My rural township gets back money for our roads and help with our recycling program. Most of our property taxes go to pay to the schools.

Walker is cutting all of these programs AND is also capping property taxes so we can't raise anymore money.

The Town Chairman and I were discussing just letting the towship roads go back to gravel because we won't get enough money back from the state to repair the pavement.
