I am composing a diary on the subject of the Whitacre's (alleged) recent endorsement of British choirs over American.  I've only done "Lux Aurumque," though I've heard several other things.  "Lux" by the way is not hard unless you only have two or three on a part, which is usually the case with the ensembles I sing in.  In that event, you have to corral whoever might be available from the alto section into singing the last long-held note with you.  It's only like a second-line G or something, but you have no idea how hard it is to hold that for so damn long.
