While the Koch brothers drive the GOP deeper and deeper into ideological nuttiness, the corporate interests are rapidly abandoning the Repug Party and moving to the Dems instead. The latest contribution figures from OpenSecrets.Org show that of the 50 largest corporate industry contributors, only EIGHT are giving the majority of their money to Republicans.

It is a HUGE mistake for us to equate the Koch brothers' agenda with the corporate agenda--they are not even remotely the same.  The corporados, unlike the ideologue libertarian Koches, don't care about ideology or extremist libertarian agendas--they only care about their wallets. And while the Repugs are wasting everyone's time fighting ideological battles over issues that the corporados don't care about, it's the DEMS who are protecting corporate interests by passing things the corporados want passed (tax breaks for the rich, a health care system that doesn't put the expense on business, more free trade agreements and increased jurisdiction for the WTO).

The Repugs are simply no longer the party representing corporate interests. WE are.

That's why I think 2012 will be a bloodbath for the Teabaggers and the GOP. Once they lose corporate support, they are nothing. And they have already lost it.
