  •  It's so tragic. Unfortunately... (1+ / 0-)

.....the left wing isn't very anti-war when one of their own is at the helm.  They'll be anti-war again if a Repub becomes prez.

With each moment of worry we give up a moment of living.

    •  I disagree (0+ / 0-)

I still believe the "left wing" is against the the Afghan and Iraq wars.  Especially the Iraq war.  But, they (left wing) are doing the same thing they did when Bush was in office.  Which is, basically, nothing.

It hasn't really  hit home to the majority of Americans because no one wants to ask the majority to sacrifice.

    •  dov, we're not pro-war (2+ / 0-)

because it's an Obama admin instead of a Bush one.

      we're not pro-war.

if we end the war, if we bring home all the troops now, and not just from the Middle East but Europe and Korea and Japan and around the Pacific Rim ...

and then we do NOT fall for the stupidity of creating Festung Amerika along the borders with Mexico and Canada, the savings in sheer unadulterated money alone are mind-boggling.

      But I -- and I know a fair number more Kossacks -- am pro-veteran.

They deserve their care. They deserve their education. They deserve housing assistance and, hell yes, job preference in their chosen fields, because they've given and given and given already. The nation owes them,
and not to pay that debt is a betrayal beyond forgiving.

Just as w's betrayal of his service contract to the TxANG was, and is.
