    is what they're calling it.  A right available exclusively to R's, of course.

      but I believe legislative immunity does not apply to circumstances when legislators knowingly enact laws which are either unconstitutional on their face or the process is unconstitutional on its face.

      E.g.  Congressional House Republicans pass an amendment to the U.S. Constitution without going through the process.

      What the sanctions are, beyond voiding the "laws" is beyond me.

        as legislative immunity, until I read a comment here about an Arizona R who beat up his girlfriend and left her on the side of the highway, then claimed legislative immunity.
        Really??  So lawmakers are exempt from consequences for things like beating up and dumping a woman?  
        If that is true, no wonder they have so little regard for the law.
